Monkey Business
The plethora of expressions related to the primates.
Primates is family of monkey like gorilla, bamboo…
1.    We are convinced kids will go ape over newly invented hover-board.(get excited/ go crazy /become very enthusiastic)
2.    David’s new home has turned out to be a monkey on his back.(to have a serious persistent problem/ addiction to drug)
3.    Please stop those kids monkeying around with that stereo before they break it.(playing fool, tampering with)
4.    To prevent any monkey business, we require all the staff members to present receipts when claiming expenses.(illegal activities / cheating/ dubious)
5.    What? Sue finally passed her driving test? Well, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! ( to show surprise/ disbelieve)
6.    Put on your coat. It’s real brass monkey weather out there! (very cool weather)
7.    My friends tried to make a monkey out of me by persuading me to do a ballet on stage. (make a fool of me)
8.    The boss threw a monkey wrench into our plans when he said we’d have to work overtime during the weekend. (play obstacle)
